New Donation Site in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Tenn. — LifeCircle Lactation Clinic | LifeCircle Women’s Healthcare in partnership with Mothers’ Milk Bank of Tennessee, is proud to announce the opening of a new Milk Drop Depot, providing lactating mothers in the Cleveland area with a convenient and safe location to donate surplus breast milk for medically fragile infants.

The Milk Drop Depot will serve as an official collection site for approved human milk donors. Donated milk is transported to Mothers’ Milk Bank of Tennessee, where it is pasteurized, tested and distributed to neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) across the state to support premature and medically vulnerable babies.

“We are truly honored to be selected for this partnership,” said Christine Sneed, IBCLC, LifeCircle Lactation Clinic. “This effort will directly impact NICU babies and families, ensuring more infants receive the vital nutrition they need to thrive.”

Mothers’ Milk Bank of Tennessee is a nonprofit organization that screens donors, processes donated human milk and distributes pasteurized donor human milk to hospitals and families in outpatient settings across Tennessee.

“This depot marks an important step in advancing our mission and increasing access to donor milk for families and hospitals,” said Amy Painter, executive director of Mothers’ Milk Bank of Tennessee. “Every ounce of donor milk can make a difference in the life of a premature baby. This partnership will make donating significantly easier for approved donors in the Cleveland area.”

A ribbon-cutting and grand opening celebration was held on Friday, Nov. 7, at 2301 N. Ocoee St., Cleveland, TN 37311.

To become a donor, individuals must first complete a free health screening through Mothers’ Milk Bank of Tennessee. Approved donors may then call 423-339-1400, ext. 124, to schedule a drop-off at LifeCircle Lactation Clinic | LifeCircle Women’s Healthcare.
