Breaking Ground on Pasteurization Facility!

MMBTN has officially broken ground on our state-of-the-art pasteurization facility in Murfreesboro, Tennessee:

Our new facility has the capability of pasteurizing thousands of ounces of Mothers' Milk each month for at-risk babies all across Tennessee, and our central location in Murfreesboro with easy access to I-24 can serve every point in Tennessee within four hours.

The pasteurization facility was designed by engineers and food-safety specialists from the ground up to utilize state-of-the-art pasteurization equipment and processes. The facility also boasts a research lab, and MMBTN will partner with local universities like MTSU to research the nutritional value and safety of pasteurized donor human milk.

Construction continues to progress smoothly. In the image below, you can see wall framing going up, a view through a large window into the conference room from the pasteurization clean room, and drywall installation:

If you've ever thought about donating to the Mothers' Milk Bank of Tennessee, now's the time! We're fundraising to kickoff pasteurization in September - your financial support is critical to help us save at-risk preemies across Tennessee!
